Active pilote tone cable monitor
The Cable Monitor ZPCM6000, developed by Zenitel allows monitoring of both cable breakage and changes in path attenuation in combined antenna networks.
Characteristics
- Detection of cable breakage
- Detection of changes of path attenuations
- Automatic adjustment
- Communication via TCP/IP or RS485
- Fully webbased configurable
Optional
- Interface with Zenitel SCADA system ZTSS6000
- Data communication via coax cable
Description
The module ZPCM6000 can be used either as a transmitter or as a receiver unit. The integrated highly sensitive and selective radio modem allows separately monitoring of every distribution channel within a complex antenna network. It provides the exact attenuation by measuring constantly the RSSI values within the distribution channel. This information including information like power voltage, temperature, sense input signals, is available via the webbased interface available via TCP/IP on the receiver unit. When a training cycle is selected the units adjusts itself automatically.
After this training cycle the unit will be ready to generate alarms depending on user definable trigger levels.
The module can be powered by an external powersupply or via the coax cable..
